Igniting ocean conservation! BST led a team of volunteers to clean up the Rayong coastline at the ICC DAY 2026 event.

On September 19, 2026, Bangkok Synthetics Co., Ltd. (BST) reinforced its stance as a sustainable organization by joining forces with the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) and business operators in the Map Ta Phut area to host the major coastal cleanup event of the year, "International Coastal Cleanup 2026 (ICC DAY 2026)." Marking its 24th consecutive year, this year's event saw participation from 23 companies and over 3,000 volunteers. Together, they collected more than 3.1 tons of waste along Laem Charoen-Suchada Beach (Mueang Rayong District) and Nam Rin-Phayun Beach (Ban Chang District), covering a distance of over 14 kilometers.
The opening ceremony was honored by Mr. Rueangrit Prakobtham, Chief Administrative Officer of Rayong Province, who presided over the event, alongside Ms. Juraisri Chaisri, Assistant Director of the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate Office, who delivered the project's statement of intent. Mr. Somkiat Boonsaksri, Sustainable Development Manager at BST, led the BST employee volunteers in joining the event.
ICC DAY 2026 aimed not only to clean the beaches but also to demonstrate a new dimension of corporate social responsibility (CSR) from the industrial sector. The initiative focused on providing knowledge about "proper waste separation," an essential skill in modern environmental management, to minimize impacts on the marine ecosystem at its source.
For this year's highlight, BST took charge of the "Kao Yot Small Fishing Boat Group" area. The company engaged with the local fishing community through beneficial activities. Beyond collecting and sorting beach waste, they organized a "Marine Life Release" activity to restore abundance to the ocean. This represents a concrete ecological restoration and builds natural resource security. Most importantly, it helps promote sustainable occupations and income for local artisanal fishers, ensuring that beautiful coastlines and sustainable ecosystems are passed on to future generations.
